and joy! It starts with this cute introduction page where all the cats introduce themselves in funny little speech bubbles - I spend ages just looking at all their personalities before I even get started coloring!
I also love that they have a large array of designs to try out; each page is unique and often humorously detailed, giving me plenty of freedom while still allowing me some kind of structure to create within - it's perfect for those days when everything feels overwhelming and my creativity just isn't flowing properly. There are so many intricacies too; the fur coats have amazing texture differences, and then you can use glitter or metallic pens on top to give the cats even more personality…it's super satisfying!
There were definitely times when my own cat brought her playful antics into the picture as she sniffed around what I was working on (in areas which normally don't interest her!) She loves staring into eyes she recognizes from herself in these pages – she may not be able to pick up a pencil yet but boy oh boy does she love helping art happen!!
