My absolute favorite cookbook is The Gross Cookbook: Awesome Recipes for (Deceptively) Gross But Delicious Treats (Funny Cooking, Prank, or White Elephant Gift for Children or Adults)! I couldn't put it down; this book is a real treat.
I bought it as a gift for my daughter's birthday and she went wild over the recipes in this book! All of her friends thought they were hilarious -- definitely something unique to have around the kitchen table. Even my husband was impressed.
The creative ideas are really inventive; something gross-looking seems to hide deliciousness inside every recipe! We laughed so hard with all the disgusting ingredients that made some truly awesome dishes. And since my kids love food pranks too, this cookbook was perfect for making some fun meals we can surprise each other with at home.
It didn't take long before I stopped cooking from normal cookbooks altogether and started finding new ideas from The Gross Cookbook instead – like the 'Tuna Surprise Soup'. It looks awfully unappetizing but everyone devours it when I make it! So if you've been looking for a great gift idea -or just want to add an extra yuck factor into your dinners - then The Gross Cookbook really is a must-have!
