I just finished reading 'S****y Printers: A Humorous History of the Most Absurd Technology Ever Invented' and I'm shook! Not gonna lie, it had me cackling out loud in my office (sorry co-workers). It's funny but still informative — definitely not just a novelty book. The author took me through all the ups and downs, pluses and minuses (sometimes literally), of being an absurdophile since the invention of printers almost half a century ago.
Did you know printed paper was once used as currency?? Or that jams were so common people made up a special word for them?? Who knew waiting 30 seconds to send an email could be SO frustrating sometimes!! As someone who practically grew up alongside these machines, I felt like this book was written specifically for me – I even got nostalgic for the stuff I haven't touched in years!
