My life was truly changed when I discovered Sweetie Pie: The Richard Simmons Private Collection of Dazzling Desserts (amazon link). Gone are the days of having to cobble together a dessert from whatever ingredients were in the cupboard, now all I need is this secret recipe book! My friends and family rave about my creations, which I'm able to tailor each time with some variation - last week it was an almond cheesecake with a mocha ganache glaze, the week before that it was an orange creamsicle layer cake.
Presentation isn't a problem either as there are plenty of gorgeous photos available in the book showing off what can be achieved. As someone who puts their heart and soul into every creation they make, this fantastic collection helps me show off my skills without compromise; no one else needs to know how easy it actually was for me to bake these tasty treats. Plus even though I don't need much sleep at night anyway because of all my creative inspiration (that must have been passed down from Richard Simmons!) this cute little volume sits proudly next to my bed making sure that sweet dreams come true too!
