I recently purchased the book "This Book is Literally Just Pictures of Animals Silently Judging You" and I must say that it has delivered on its title. As the title states, this book consists almost entirely of pictures of animals that silently judge you. There is no description or text to accompany these images, which is perhaps fitting given their silent nature.
Upon flipping through the pages of "This Book is Literally Just Pictures of Animals Silently Judging You," my first thought was: “what a funny concept”! Every page features an image of various animals staring directly at you with what can only be described as a judgemental gaze. Whether it's an elephant, dog or bird - each animal will sit there quietly judging your every move and emotion from afar. Some are more contemplative than others, and some were downright hilarious! It was like being in an audience full of cats watching me perform stand up comedy (not great).
The artwork found within "This Book is Literally Just Pictures of Animals Silently Judging You" ranges from cartoonish doodles to photorealistic illustrations. The illustrator seemingly had fun choosing different mediums for each picture; watercolors here, pastels there- making sure no two pictures felt too similar in style or execution. On top of all this variety, most images held a certain level detail exceeding expectations for such a simple concept book; feathers feel real enough to touch while fur appears so soft it could have been taken straight off the animal itself.
Overall I am quite pleased with my purchase and would recommend "This Book Is Literally Just Pictures Of Animals Silently Judging You". Whether intended purpose was to bring lightheartedness into any room or simply just entertain for short moments at time - This books does both well and should not be overlooked simply because it lacks words on every page- overall artistry more than makes up for lack thereof!
