"Fear of Fifty: A Relatable and Insightful Mid-Life Memoir"

I recently purchased "Fear of Fifty: A Mid-Life Memoir" by Erica Jong and was overwhelmed with how much I loved it! I found myself really relating to the stories in this book, as many of them were events from my own life. One moment that stood out to me is when Erica talks about having an anxiety attack while standing in line at a grocery store - something I had experienced only days prior, not knowing what to do or why it was happening; her writing on the matter resonated strongly with me.

The entire book is incredibly detailed, witty and personal; yet still holds such universal truths we can all connect with on some level - regardless of age or circumstances. As someone who fears turning fifty (as most likely anyone would!), reading this has certainly helped alleviate those anxieties somewhat. All in all, I cannot recommend Fear of Fifty: A Mid-Life Memoir more highly and feel like everyone should read it at least once!
