I was so excited when I got my PartyHop - Kim Jong Un Mask - President Famous People Celebrity Human Mask from Amazon. I had been eyeing this one up for weeks and finally decided to take the plunge and buy it.
Unfortunately, what I received in the mail didn't live up to my expectations at all! The latex smelled like a wet dog that had been sitting outside in the sun for too long, completely overwhelming any room it enters. Trying to make sure people around me couldn't smell it too much, I put it in a box with an air freshener inside; hoping that by doing so, no one would notice the odor was coming from my mask! On top of that, due to being packed away tightly into such a small box there were severe wrinkles disfiguring its surface rendering its expression unrecognizable – far from resembling anything close enough to Kim Jong Un's stern facial features!
To add insult to injury – you'd think they'd at least get their measurements right with something as simple as "one size fits most adults". Nope! It was way too tight on me squishing my face making it hard for me breathe or even see through the eye holes without having any sort of peripheral vision. Lastly (and thankfully) this product is not meant for children because natural latex poses a health hazard if worn incorrectly unknowingly inhaled; allergies could occur leading potentially more serious issues down the line… Yikes!! Not cool at all...
Needless to say, after trying all these things out on myself just once I have now moved onto pastures new: never again will 'Party Hop' be appearing on my monthly purchase list and certainly not near those closest and dearest friends either (for fear of inflicting upon them similar unfortunate experiences!).
